Even though this Black Widow pin-up by Ganassa is a couple weeks old I held off on featuring it until today for obvious reasons. So, who’s excited about seeing The Avengers today? I sure as shit am! It’s been an amazing four year build-up and word on the street is Joss Whedon delivers the goods. I won’t know for sure until I see it for myself in a few hours but with a 93% “fresh” ratting on Rotten Tomatoes I don’t think I will be let down.

I’m not quite at the same level of excitement as I was when Phantom Menace came out but maybe that’s a good thing – Episode I was such a disappointment. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think The Avengers will be a let down. I just don’t think I can ever muster up that kind of excitement again. I’m older and more jaded now thanks to George Lucas. Derp. Oh btw – May the 4th be with you! (I’m still a Star Wars nerd at heart)

I’m not sure how many of you remember the 1968 Jane Fonda sexual sci-fi movie Barbarella but it was a pretty big deal at the time. Or at least so I’m told, I wasn’t born until 10 years later and when I finally saw it (probably around 15 or so) I was too far removed to enjoy it. Sadly I don’t remember it having all that much sex and nudity, at least not compared to Caligula which I saw around the same time, but I would like to give it another shot now that I am older and wiser.

Whether or not you are a fan of Barbarella you have to admit this “retro poster” styled piece by JoiXXX is pretty rad. I would like to see the same image without the filter, because it looks like there’s a lot of detail in it, but if this is the only version JoiXXX wants the world to see I’m not going to complain. I respect hentai artists that try and do something different like this so my hat’s off to him for making this.

Heavy Metal the movie (1981) is the reason I love hentai. It’s as simple as that.

I was born in 1978 and I heard about Heavy Metal from my step dad and had seen posters for it in the comic book store I frequented. Whenever I got the chance I would look through old issues of the Heavy Metal magazine my step dad had in the basement but I didn’t see the movie until one summer in the late 80′s. In fact, the first sex scenes I ever saw was the one with Harry Canyon and the big titted chick who’s dad was killed for the Loc-Nar. As awesome as that sex scene was it was Taarna that sent my puberty stricken mind spinning.

Since I grew up reading comics I was pretty used to being attracted to fictional characters like Wonder Woman but Taarna was different, she was the first character I lusted for (not knowing what that was back then). I have seen Heavy Metal the movie about 50 times over the course of my life, and have purchased the soundtrack 5 different times, and every time I see it I am still mesmerized by Taarna. There is just something about a strong female character that has white pubic hair that really turns me on. She will always hold a special place in my heart and probably without her, or the movie, I would not have the love for hentai that I do now.

I met Alicia Hollinger at comic book industry meet-and-great a couple weeks ago in Hollywood. I was admiring her pin-ups on the wall, specifically a Taarna pic she had created, and once we started talking I knew I wanted to feature her work on MPL Toons. Hmmmmm I could be wrong but I don’t think we’ll be seeing this scene in the new John Carter movie. Although if we did I bet a lot more people would show up! I’m gonna go on record right now and say that I think John Carter is gonna bomb. Don’t get me wrong, I want to see it and I think it looks pretty cool but I don’t get the feeling that your everyday moviegoer has any interest in it. In fact, most of the people I talk to about it (outside of the comic industry) are completely confused as to what the movie is about.

“Does he have super powers? Why is he on Mars? Who the fuck is John Carter?”

Yea that doesn’t bode well for the movie. I even have a bet going with my friend that it doesn’t make more than $45mil during its domestic run – The winner buys the loser an 8th of the dankest shit they can find. I’ll still probably wind up seeing it in the theater (knowing full well that I am contributing to my friend winning the bet) mainly because I’ve been in a pulp-hero mood lately.

Whoa! Where has Sr. Joi been all my life? This piece is absolutely fucking incredible. Forget the fact that Milla Jovovich has two giant cocks in her ass – Look at the phenomenal digital paintwork by Sr. Joi. I don’t know what his technique is but Milla’s likeness is spot-on and that makes the rendering all the more awesome (as you can see). Compared to his previous works on Hentai Foundry this is Sr. Joi’s most ambitious and well crafted piece to date. He obviously has the talent but since he’s new (to Hentai Foundry at least) it remains to be seen whether or not Sr. Joi keeps the level of his work this high. I have a good feeling about this hentai artist though so I’m gonna keep an eye on him, if you like what you see here then you should too.

I have to say that this might be a first for me – I don’t think I have ever seen Egon Spengler porn before. Sure I have seen Janine Melnitz naked and/or fucked by Slimer (the cartoon version, not Annie Potts) but not Dr.Spengler. Good for him though, even nerdy scientists need love too even if it is from a ghost. Would this be filled under “perks of the job” though? I don’t see why not, she is kind of hot for a specter. I certainly wouldn’t complain about getting phantom-head but I’m weird like that I guess.

I like how Flick didn’t use the cartoon version of Egon but instead created a look that more closely resembles the movie but could still pass for a Saturday morning cartoon. I imagine if they rebooted The Real Ghostbusters Dr.Spengler would probably look something like this. Still it is kinda weird that a) they never put out the complete series on DVD or Blu-ray and b) no one rebooted the cartoon like they did with He-Man and Thundercats (both awesome in my opinion). The former I want so bad I can taste it and the latter I could probably do without but would still watch if it was the original characters (unfortunately you know the producers would probably decide to fill the cast with younger, more “hip” Ghostbusters…ugh I shudder at the thought).

Harry Potter and the Seed of Life – “The world has to be rebuilt and Hermione is the master collector of the magical Seed of Life.” That’s the idea behind this pic by antumbrae and I think it’s absolutely outstanding. There aren’t too many times when I see a pic for the first time and my jaw drops to the floor but this was definitely one of them.
