I’m a big fan or character redesigns, especially when the characters go from good to bad, but I’m not sure if Shade designed these himself or if they are a part of the DC Universe canon. I know that Dark Mary Marvel did appear in Final Crisis (thanks wikipedia) but she didn’t look like this. Maybe if she did I would have read it because I totally dig the punk-girl look (and of course dat ass).

Power Girl’s dark costume is hot as hell too, but that’s not too hard to do when it’s Power Girl. I don’t know what DC was thinking with the New 52 design, it’s so bland. I’m sure they were trying to desexualize her, but come on! That’s Power Girl’s thing, otherwise she’s just not all that memorable. I’m sure I’ll piss off some comic book fans by saying that, but it’s the truth. Sure the Palmiotti/Gray/Conner run was great, but they did it with her classic, sexier costume. Do you think it would have been as good with the new one? I don’t.

I kinda went off on a tangent there, but I stick with my belief that Power Girl should be sexy and half naked. If she wants to be half naked and evil then that’s even better. Bad girls FTW!

Supergirl/Power Girl costume swap shenanigans by Nebaroth

I’m glad I stumbled upon this fun little 3 part series by Nebaroth today because I’ve been in a cheesecake mood lately and this definitely satisfies that craving. I feel like I might have seen these pics before but I know I never featured them on MPL Toons so there’s that.

In a world of Adam Hughes inspired pin-up artists, Nebaroth is definitely one of the best. His style is clean and colorful and he does a great job of distinguishing Supergirl from Power Girl based on body type as well as hairstyles – That’s something I really dig. I hate it when artists draw different comic book characters all with the same proportions, you know? The Flash should have a runner’s body, Batman should be more like an acrobat, Aquaman should have a swimmer’s body…etc. Hmmmmm maybe I’ve put to much thought into the dude’s body types huh? How about this:

Wonder Woman should have an amazon’s body (tall and toned), Supergirl should have a high school cheerleader body (tight but not overly muscular), and Power Girl should have an attractive fitness model’s body (right on the verge of too much muscles but still hot). I haven’t seen Nebaroth draw Wonder Woman yet but he definitely nailed Supergirl and Power Girl’s body types, and for that I thank him.

God damn! Sabu is on a fucking roll with this “Sex Arcade” series he’s been working on lately. And yes, I know I just posted the She-Hulk pic by him three days ago but I really couldn’t pass this one up. Power Girl is one of my favorite superheroes of all time – by “favorite” I mean the one I want to have sex with the most – and who hasn’t wanted to titty fuck that hole in her costume? Seriously, this pic is too fucking awesome. I’m just going to let you guys know right now that I’ll be posting every pic from the “Sex Arcade” series Sabu creates. Those of you that have been into the hentai scene for a while might recognize Shade from Hentai Foundry and other websites dedicated to our hobby. His style is bold, exciting, and incredibly erotic. Even when Shade is drawing non-nude pinups of Power Girl or Black Widow there is always an infusion of sexiness. Like the great cheesecake artists Olivia or Adam Hughes, he manages to make female characters powerful and sultry at the same time.

Supergirl by Ricken

I stumbled upon a pic by Ricken the other day whilst lurking on Gelbooru and was immediately hooked, so much so that I knew right away that I wanted to feature him on my next Artist Spotlight. After doing a quick Google search I found his Deviant Art page (link below) and have been drooling over his artwork ever since.

I can’t quite put my finger on what initially drew me to Ricken’s style. I guess it really wasn’t just one thing – I love his whimsical yet thoughtful line work and soft, almost dream-like color palettes. Ricken’s style is Japanese anime meets western comic books with a dash of Bruce Timm thrown in for good measure. All of this equals a very striking and technique that is as fun to look at as I imagine it was to draw.

Even though I discovered Ricken on Gelbooru I wouldn’t call him a hentai artist. So why am I featuring him on MPL Toons? Just because Ricken doesn’t draw hardcore nudity doesn’t mean some of his pics aren’t highly erotic. Look at the Harley Quinn illustrations below (more after the jump) and tell me you don’t find them to be as hot, if not hotter, than the other hentai pics I post on my blog. Just because a character is getting all her orifices stuffed with tentacles and cum doesn’t necessarily make it “erotic”.
